Southtowns Radiology Names Dr. Asha Ziembiec President

Board-certified radiologist joined practice in 2019

HAMBURG, NY – Southtowns Radiology, one of Western New York’s leading providers of radiology and diagnostic imaging services, announced that Dr. Asha Ziembiec has been named president.

As president, Dr. Ziembiec will oversee the strategic direction for the practice, which includes more than 20 board-certified radiologists. Southtowns Radiology reads more than 450,000 screening and diagnostic imaging studies each year, and operates outpatient imaging centers in Hamburg and Orchard Park. The practice’s physicians have subspecialties in women’s imaging, neuroradiology, body imaging, cardiac imaging, and more.

A board-certified radiologist, Dr. Ziembiec specializes in diagnostic radiology, breast imaging, gastrointestinal radiology, and interventional radiology. She joined Southtowns Radiology in 2019, becoming a partner and co-owner in the practice in 2021, and most recently served as Medical Director for Southtowns Radiology’s imaging centers in Hamburg and Orchard Park since January 2022. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, she completed her residency training in Connecticut and fellowship training in California.

Dr. Ziembiec has lectured and conducted presentations across the country, and her research has been published in national journals, including The Journal of Radiology. She is a member of the Radiologic Society of North America, American College of Radiology, American Association for Women Radiologists, Society of Breast Imaging, American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Society of Abdominal Radiology. Dr. Ziembiec resides in East Aurora with her husband (a native of Western New York) and their two children.
